Switch Box Exproof Proximity

Switch box is a device used to determine whether the valves controlled by pneumatic actuators are open or closed and to transmit this information to the control system.

A mechanical part in the switch box, located on an actuator connected to the valve, moves when the actuator opens or closes the valve. This movement causes an electrical contact to open or close, so that the control system understands which position the valve is in.

Exproof proximity switch boxes, unlike exproof switch boxes, use magnetic or capacitive sensors instead of a mechanical contact to operate, so they can be used in applications where higher sensitivity and fast response time are important.
