Switch Box Mechanics

Switch box is a device used to determine whether the valves controlled by pneumatic actuators are open or closed and to transmit this information to the control system.

A mechanical part in the switch box, located on an actuator connected to the valve, moves when the actuator opens or closes the valve. This movement causes an electrical contact to open or close, so that the control system understands what position the valve is in.

Mechanical switch boxes are suitable for general purpose use under normal operating conditions.
